British School (19th century), Study of the British three masted square rigger 'Canute', under full sail, believed to have been captained by Joshua Jones, who married Rachel Evans of Rhydfechan. Oils on canvas. 60x90cm approx. Framed. Together with some provenance, including a letter from Lloyd's Register of Shipping regarding the history of this vessel and dated 1974. Ship completed 1863 and deleted from the register in 1900. (B.P. 21% + VAT)
